Currently False Bay has like zero (or very, very few and so none seen lately) great white sharks around because there are two orca killer whales visiting. They hang around together and have been identified and named as Port and Starboard.

Would like to see that clip of the whale in the marina if you still have the link, it would be appreciated.

Heard an interesting (apparently true, but being secondhand, you never know) story two days ago about a couple and kids who anchored off the beach here in Simon's Bay in their smallish yacht as a weekend away from the house. Anyway the bloke woke up in the night really puzzled because it sounded like water was rushing past the hull as though they were sailing. Then he realised that the movement was also strange. Went topsides and they were halfway out the bay. Apparently their anchor had got stuck in a whale's fluke and they were being towed out into False Bay. While he was zapping around to get something to cut the rode it slipped loose from the whale's fluke by itself.

He's done some dining out on that event since then ....
