I would have replaced it. Costs around R300 for a standard shaft size anode. Once they start going - they go fast, bit you can replace while in the water.

Also depends on where your boat is moored. I might be imagining things but a lot of welding on other boats like trawlers etc lets them go faster. As i say - Maybe my imagination.
Someone perhaps have a theory ??

Interesting thought. Luckily not much of that going on in the Simon's Town marina.
