[boat refit] cooking gas

Post by Eddie » Sat May 23, 2020 3:22 pm

There is a two burner gas stove (on gimbals) in the galley. This is fed from a gas cylinder in an enclosed lazerette locker in the cockpit. I don't like the idea of a enclosed space from wherein gas cannot escape should there be a leak.

Also if a new spot could be found for the gas cylinder the locker could be cleaned up and provide valuable storage space in the cockpit.

Aft of the vessel and attached to the pushpit is the braai 8-) , which currently requires brickettes or the like to function.

The idea now is to have the cylinder in a bracket off the aft pushpit with a dual function because we'll convert the braai to a gas-fired one.
