...tried 5 times now to make a picture story and stuffed it up, so here is the story then pics to follow.

....trailer overhauled, serviced and repainted.

...all steering and control cables and box serviced, cleaned and lubed. My ignition switch is busted, need new or second hand, but lockdown is happening.

...ugly streaky green somewhere repainted before motor, stripped and disassembled. Cleaned carbs, 2 stroke pump, new fuel and oil lines, need 2 stroke oil can.

....motor sandblasted and ready for paint starting tomorrow. Hammered black will be the colour of choice :) :D .

...took me three days to remove the propshaft bearing carrier due to corrision, not rust, that white scaly stuff. People should not skimp on washing and Q20 when they store their boats. Here I need the oil seals and o-rings before re-installkng.

...sofar, 5 broken bolts due to corrosion that an engineering company would have to fix for me. When that is done and I can get parts, reassembling will start and motor checked.

...then starts the hull works, new floor (lowered), new seating configuration (bowrider) , respray and wallah.

.ha ha, if only it was that easy. Ok will update when there is progress - need a Suzuki parts supplier.

Hats off to you. Wish I was that practical. I have to pay others to do that stuff for me.

Is the boat for inland use or at sea?

...yes I'm fortunate to have been blessed to work with my hands (tradeoff is no money :D , do enjoy it a lot and gives purpose to the item in the end. Also was something to do during lockdown. My timeframe for completion is summer, so going to take it steady and enjoy it too.

...I have an OCD streak in me and like to do things right and properly. I would polish (wire brush) all bolts and metal parts before putting it back :D . New parts in critical places and repurposing where possible :D
